Top 100 Pediatric Health Blogs

November24

I found out today that I have been listed on a list of the top 100 pediatric health blogs. Wow! That’s very exciting! Thanks, Kelly! I’m #78.

Since I have been having a harder time thinking of topics related to breastfeeding, I was wondering if you have any specific topics you want me to write about. My posts tend to be broad and shallow, so I can go into more depth in an area if there are any requests. :-) Let me know.

The other day I received an e-mail telling me that my blog was listed along with 99 others as one of the top 100 women’s health blogs. I haven’t had a chance to look through the entire list yet, but I know that I’m always looking for new blogs to read. The list is divided into several sections: Nutrition and Special Diets, Exercise, Infertility, Pregnancy, Childbirth and Breastfeeding, Weightloss, Health Challenges, Fit and Healthy Over 40, Physical Wellbeing, and Mental Wellbeing. Thanks for choosing me to be on this list!

If chosen, also feel free to award people who have already been awarded…

Here is my top ten list of blogs that I feel deserve an Excellent Blog Award:

1. Adventures in Babywearing- Thanks for the Babywearing tips! I’m a wannabe babywearer, and reading your blog inspires me to get out my mei tai when it’s been on the shelf a little too long!

2. BreastfeedingMums Blog- Sinead was the first person to comment on my blog and encourage me to keep writing. Her blog has great breastfeeding information, and she recently started a social network for women.

3. Breastfeeding 1–2-3- I can always find some good information here. I like her breastfeeding quotes and reviews of books that I don’t always know about or have the time to find on my own.

4. The Lactivist Breastfeeding Blog- This is the first breastfeeding blog that I started to read regularly. It’s also one that I know when I have a new thread in my blog reader there will be something thought provoking and well worth reading.

5. Mama Knows Breast- This is one of my newer finds. Right now I am particularly loving her posts of “One Mom’s Story” giving different breastfeeding experiences.

6. Not a DIY Life- I found this blog during NaBloPoMo and I’m still enjoying it.

7. Nursing Your Kids- This is another blog I found during NaBloPoMo. Still enjoying this one, too!

8. On Pans and Kneadles- Since I’m always looking for new recipes, I appreciate this blog for saving me from eating spaghetti with meat sauce 10 times in one month.

9. Mama Speaks- I love this blog! It’s reviews and links to products and websites that are mom-approved. I just recently started reading this one, and I love when I go there and find a new entry.

10. A Blessed Life- This is one of my favorite blogs, but I may be a little biased since it belongs to my husband’s sister. She is a photographer and is constantly posting pictures of the cute kids she photographs and my beautiful nieces! What more could I want from a blog?
