In addition to reading the book, Dr. Karp strongly recommends you watch "The Happiest Toddler" DVD, too. In fact, most parents watch the DVD 2-3 times to really learn the techniques that help end 50% of tantrums in seconds, and prevent 50%-90% of outbursts before they even happen. After you learn those techniques, Dr. Karp strongly suggests you read the book for lots of additional information on topics such as picky eating, whining and discipline. I hope this helps.
